Apple Vs Samsung

One of the greatest battle of the 21st century is probably between Apple and Samsung. Is an iphone or a Samsung Galaxy better? Having used Samsung for 5 years before switching to iPhone 2 years back, I shall give my two cents worth of the advantages and disadvantages of each phone brands.

Reasons why iPhone triumphs over Samsung Galaxy
1) iPhone is arguably less laggy than Samsung,
Well Samsung allows customisation of its interface, it actually leads to problems of lagging and hanging. Even without customising, my old Samsung phone actually became quite laggy after using it for less than 2 years.

2) There is iMessage, which connects you to your Mac (it's useful if you happen to own multiple Apple products). So you can literally send text messages via your computer. This is less useful now that there are similar instant messaging applications such as Whatsapp Web and Telegram Web, but undeniably a great function. When your phone rings, it rings on the Mac as well. This is useful when you are the type of person who keeps your phone on silent mode all the time.

3) There is iCloud, which automatically backups your data so that when you switch to a new iphone, there will not be any issues with data loss. However it becomes problematic when you switch to a new phone that is not iphone. Also, iCloud has a limited storage. Hence, once you reach the limit, Apple will prompt you to upgrade your iCloud at a certain cost.

4) iPhone photos are arguably known to be of a higher quality than that of a Samsung's. That said, Samsung phone cameras are known to work better dim areas (as they produce brighter photos).

Why Samsung Galaxy triumps over iPhone
1) Transfer of files and music is simple and easy. Whether it's via bluetooth, email or direct download, Samsung phones allow you to store music files easily, as compared to iPhone where songs can only be synchronised via iTunes

2) Samsung allows input of SD cards, which means that you can obtain greater data at cheaper costs, as compared to iPhone.

3) Samsung is arguably better than an iPhone in terms of functionality. Eg. Waterproof function, less prone to screen cracks and etc.

4) A regular Samsung phone is cheaper than an iPhone. (If we compare the same series, i.e iPhone 6 vs Galaxy S6.

So to sum up, there are advantages and disadvantages of phone of each brands, it all depends on what you are looking out for.
